Angina is a symptom of coronary artery disease. When blood flow to the heart muscle is reduced, chest pain called angina occurs. Other symptoms that accompany angina include chest, arm, neck, jaw, shoulder and back pain, nausea, fatigue, shortness of breath, sweating and dizziness. Angina occurs when the coronary arteries are narrowed by plaque build-up. Angina can be treated with lifestyle changes, medications and surgery.
